Jewellery

For handmade piece, we primarily use semi-precious stones, Czech table cut beads, Japanese seed beads, crystals, and freshwater pearls.

Our sourced pieces are mostly 18K PVD* gold-plated over a base of stainless steel or sterling silver.

*PVD means 'Physical Vapour Deposition', a process which allows the bonding of gold onto base metals like stainless steel and sterling silver. As opposed to gold electroplating, PVD plating bonds gold more effectively onto the base material which ensures their durability and better resistance from acute water or natural chemical exposure (i.e. daily wear and tear).

Disclaimer: While our PVD gold plated pieces are tarnish resistant, gold-plating does fade over time due to regular wear. There are easy steps you can take to maintain and prolong the quality of your pieces for upwards of 2 years.

Here are a few tips to keep your jewellery in its best possible condition:

1. Store your jewellery separately from other pieces in individual boxes or bags to prevent scratching and away from moisture to prevent oxidation.

2. It is recommended that jewellery should be removed before sleeping, engaging in exercise, undertaking physical activity such as gardening or other heavy duty activities to avoid unintentional damage.

3. Remove your jewellery before swimming, especially in chlorine and salt water.

4. Wait to put on your jewellery until after you have applied lotion, makeup, or perfume.

5. After wear, gently clean your jewellery and remove any dirt or oils from your skin.

6. Direct contact with hairspray, perfumes and other chemicals may cause jewellery to discolour.

7. It is recommended that jewellery with semi-precious stones and pearls are not worn while swimming and showering.
